Operations

Settings

Manage organization profile, branding, sessions, academic settings, and security options.

Organization settings

Organization settings are the central place for school identity, contact details, branding, appearance, and account safety options. Each section affects a different part of the workspace.

  • Profile details help users recognize the school across dashboards and records.
  • Branding controls the logo shown in the workspace and documents.
  • Appearance controls the main accent color and theme preference.
  • Contact and security options help with recovery, verification, and active sessions.

Organization features

Organization Features lets an organization admin choose which optional EduVerse modules the school uses. Core account, security, notification, file, and organization services are always available and do not appear as switches.

  • Full means authorized users can read and change records in that module.
  • Read only preserves access to retained records but prevents new changes.
  • Off removes the module from navigation and blocks its requests and AI tools.
  • A feature being on never grants a user permission; role, tenant, assignment, and record rules still apply.
  • Files, imports, exports, realtime updates, and AI tools follow the feature that owns the underlying record.

Dependencies and active work

Some features depend on others. EduVerse previews automatic changes before saving. A feature with active or historically required records may be locked on or reduced only to read only until the displayed lifecycle work is completed.

Registration starts from a common or institute-recommended preset. The selection is saved only when registration is submitted. Organization admins can later review changes in Settings > Features, confirm dependency effects, and save the complete configuration.

Organization profile

The organization profile stores the school name, location, phone number, and contact email used throughout the workspace. Keep these values official and easy to recognize.

  • The school name appears in dashboards, reports, and places where the workspace needs to identify itself.
  • Location and phone help users and support teams understand which institute the workspace represents.
  • The contact email should be monitored by the school because verification and recovery messages may depend on it.

Appearance and theme

Appearance settings control the workspace accent color and preferred theme mode. They help the school feel recognizable without making the interface hard to read.

  • Choose an accent color with enough contrast for buttons, highlights, and focus states.
  • EduVerse checks unsafe colors before saving so text and controls remain readable.
  • Theme mode controls whether the workspace follows light, dark, or system preference where supported.

Contact verification

Contact verification confirms that the school can receive important account and recovery messages. If the contact email changes, the school may need to verify the new address again.

Why this matters

An unverified contact email can make account recovery and official communication harder. Keep the address current and monitored.

Security and sessions

Security tools help users review active sessions, remove access from old devices, and change passwords when needed.

  • Review sessions if a device is lost, shared, or no longer trusted.
  • Change the password if there is any chance the account was exposed.
  • Use the verified contact email for recovery-related workflows when available.

Academic settings

Academic settings include GPA policies. GPA policy management is restricted to organization admins because it affects transcripts and academic history.

  • GPA policies define scale, rounding, calculation method, and grade boundaries.
  • A cycle can lock its selected GPA policy after finalized grades exist.
  • Only trusted academic administrators should change GPA policies because the result affects official records.
