Role Guides
Sub Admin Guide
A guide for delegated organization administration without main-admin ownership.
What sub admins do
Sub admins help run the organization workspace. They handle day-to-day user and academic operations while the main org admin remains the owner of the highest-risk organization controls.
| Area | Sub Admin can do | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| People | Create and update teachers, managers, students, guardians, and finance managers. | Sub admins do not create or manage main admin accounts. |
| Account recovery | Copy password-reset links and turn off two-step verification for ordinary users who are locked out. | Sub admins cannot do this for the org admin or another sub-admin, and cannot turn two-step verification on for anyone. |
| Academic setup | Manage cycles, cohorts, sections, schedules, reassignment, and operational academic records. | Changes follow department scope and the school academic plan. |
| Programs | Create and edit programs/curricula in explicitly assigned departments. | Cannot write programs in unassigned departments or create/retry cycle archives. |
| Grades | Review grade-finalization status and finalize where allowed. | Finalized grades become official transcript data. |
| Evaluations | Create windows and review teacher/course feedback where delegated. | Feedback review follows department scope where applicable. |
| Finance | View/audit finance where available. | Finance operations belong to Admin and Finance Manager roles. |

Use Sub Admin for trusted staff who should run operations but should not be the organization owner.
